Winter Wonderland

We had a great Christmas this year. We left early on Christmas Eve morning (thanks Joe for taking us so early)! Utah has been pounded with snow since we have been here but thankfully Wednesday was clear skies and all of us made it in. Christmas morning we had a huge storm but like a bunch of crazy's and much to Chelseas horror, we braved the storm and drove up to my aunt and uncles cabin. Once we got there it was great! They have a beautiful place where we played games, went snowmobiling, snowshoeing, watched movies, and hung out with lots of family! Hope you enjoy the pictures of our Christmas!

This is the road you have to come up to the cabin

There was so much snow that if you fell it was hard to get back up

During the winter you can't drive to the cabin you either snowmobile in or take the "gremlin" to the cabin

Test results

Treven got his FAA test results back today, and he is very excited that he got a 95! It's a great relief to be over that hurdle in this very long process.

Christmas Shopping is Done......

Well it is the Saturday before Christmas and I braved the crowds to finish my Christmas shopping. Treven is up skiing today so I took the opportunity to go stocking stuffer shopping and get last minute gits. Maybe next year I will go shopping earlier....
We leave for Salt Lake early on Christmas Eve we are excited because we will be heading up to my Aunt and Uncles cabin for a few days of snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and hanging out. I promise to put up pictures. I bought a camera after thanksgiving but haven't used it much.
Treven is still waiting on his test results from the FAA, in the world of instant results leave it to the government to not be instant. As my next post will probably be after Christmas I want to wish everyone a happy and safe Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving, snow, and sprained ankles

We had a good Thanksgiving here in Denver, we had Treven's brother and a couple of friends come over for dinner. Trev has become the master turkey cooker as it's our 3rd year staying home for turkey day. We had pretty much our first snow of the season, it's been very warm in Denver through Nov, and I'm not complaining, I'm not a fan of cold weather.

Treven's Thanksgiving weekend was not as good as mine since he came down with a cold and then on Saturday while playing basketball sprained his ankle. It's ugly looking with lots of swelling and bruises.

We also found out that Treven has been selected to take his test for the FAA, just in case anyone didn't know he is working on getting a job as an air traffic controller. Taking the test is the second step of the process, he will take it on Dec 14, so keep him in your prayers!
